The Mourne Mountains in County Down, are designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and contain the highest mountains in Northern Ireland.
Their highest of these is Slieve Donard which reaches 850 m (2,790 ft) above sea level and overlooks the popular seaside town of Newcastle.
The mountain range is also home to Tollymore Forest Park and the Silent Valley Reservoir.
