The Giant’s Causeway is probably the most well known tourist attraction in Northern Ireland.
It was formed around 50-60 Million years ago by a volcanic fissure eruption and consists of around 40,000 basalt columns.
It’s located along the picturesque North Coast and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 and a national nature reserve in 1987. The Giant's Causeway was named the fourth greatest natural wonder in the United Kingdom.
